When i see my friends with their children, i get totally envious. Even when i see Tina's, Mona's, Dindin's and Lei's beautiful kids, i get envious.
My college best bud, Karla got married almost a year after we graduated. She brought to this world the cutest girl, Zoe. Now she's pregnant with her second. I know it's hard to become a parent but i also know that I can be really good with kids. And more often than not, I really want to have my own already. I know I'm still young and my aunts have never failed in reminding me to enjoy single life to the fullest but I think the only time that i would REALLY feel fulfilled is the day i give birth to a child who I will love to the full extent of my being. *sigh*
Speaking of parenthood, my sister has asked me to attend a PTA meeting in her school tomorrow in behalf of my parents (My mom is in the States and my Dad has a meeting). I haven't said yes yet. I think that this is the closest thing to being a parent that i can become FOR NOW. *another sigh*
This is Zoe when she turned 1. She's 2 years old now.
1. ...sent a handwritten letter? 3 weeks ago. It was a love letter to my boyfriend.
2. ...baked something from scratch or made something by hand? I suck at baking and i don't recall the last time i made something by hand. Does cooking count? That one i did last week.
3. ...camped in a tent? My first job was as a flight attendant for a domestic airline. Part of the training was "Jungle Survival" and we went mountain climbing in Batangas and pitched a tent there. The year was 1999.
4. ...volunteered your time to church, school, or community? I used to be really actve in a youth community in the parish but i stopped. That was 3 years ago.
5. ...helped a stranger? Hhhmmm...I helped an old woman carry her big bag inside the Tamaraw FX on my way to work. This happened a month ago.

GOOOOOAAAAAALLLLL!!!!!!!!
Brazil and Turkey played a great game last night. I really find Turkey's Ilhan Mansiz a great football player. But no one beats Ronaldo (so what if he's overrated?). Woohoo!!!!
It says, "Harry is a pothead and the Sorcerer's Stoned". HAHAHAHA!"

I know that the bride should always be the most beautiful person on her wedding day but for crying out loud in the middle of the night, don't let your bridesmaids look like they were part of a circus!!!
I wasn't too excited about doing this because i have a weird nickname but i did it anyway (out of curiousity). I got the nickname "Bunny" because i was born on an Easter Sunday. Hence, i was named after the Easter Rabbit!

5. What are your plans for this weekend? Since the weekend just passed, I'm going to change that to "What did you this weekend?". I watched The World Cup all day Saturday. Woke up at noon on Sunday. Watched the MTV Movie Awards 2002 then went to the mall with my friends for some window shopping and dinner afterwhich i met up with my boyfriend and saw "Sum of all Fears".

I got super tipsy while watching the world cup last friday at Oakwood(We went to Gweilo's but the place was full plus their TV's were in mute). They had this promo from 7pm till the game ends: For 165 bucks, you can drink all the beer, margarita, screwdriver and gimlets that you can.
I didn't have dinner and i drank 3 tall glasses of really strong Screwdrivers. I got screwed alright.
After the game, we headed to ever-reliable Hap Chang for some real good and cheap chinese food. And then i was sober.
i can eat dimsum everyday and never get sick of it
I got very pissed at the people at NSG (National Sports Grill). Remember i said that i made reservations? It was already 230 and I had come from my client's office and was stuck in traffic when Bianca (who's meeting me there too) called and said that the marketing asst. of NSG (who happens to be her friend) called her and said that we better get there ASAP because they might give our table away. So i call the marketing asst. and tell her that I'm just stuck at traffic but I'm a couple of blocks away from greenbelt. She only told me to hurry up. I also got in touch with my hunny and asked him if he was near already. He said he was. I breathed a sigh of relief.
After a few minutes, my boyfriend calls me up and tells me that he's already there and the receptionist had told him that there was no reservation under my name. When i got to the mall, I brisk walked to the restaurant. Leeds had found his friend and sat with him first while waiting for me. The place was soooooo packed with people. I approach the receptionist and tell her i have a reservation...
Receptionist: (flips through the reservation list) Ah yes, you're on Table 421. (then she looks at me and gives a little smile) Me: Uh...where's Table 421??? (did she really expect me to know where the table was? Sheesh!) Receptionist: oh okay..follow me.
When we got to table 421, there were a couple of men seated already.
Me: there are people sitting on my table.
Receptionist: ay.... (looks at her watch) You're late kasi eh.
Me: my companion was here early and he said that your reservations people told him that there was no reservation under my name.
Receptionist: I guess they gave your table to someone else because you were late.
(then she walks off) She doesn't even apologize.
That bitch! The worse thing was, i snapped at my boyfriend for leaving me there all alone. (I'm truly sorry, baby) And to top it all off, i had just gotten my period today. So go figure how cranky I was. My friends and i eventually found some seats and were able to watch the game. But i dont think I will ever forgive NSG for what they did to me this afternoon. I have been patronizing them (inspite of their exorbitant prices) since they opened last year. God knows how much they've made out of me. They suck! Their service sucks big time as well (and i'm not saying this just because i'm pissed at them. The service is slower than a moron.) So I'm not going to go there anymore (no matter how much i love their fries. Its fattening, anyway.). Or if i do, I'm not ordering anything and they will no longer get a single centavo out of my pocket.
I should tell them to send a "Thank You" card to the World Cup because they made so much money out of them. I bet my ass that after the championships, the restaurant will look like a cemetery again. Hahaha!!!
Of course I'm watching the game between Germany and USA tonight. But I'm watching at Gweilos, a better and much cheaper alternative.
Its a good thing you guys won. Otherwise, I'd be super duper pissed right now.

WORLD CUP FEVER
I have a secret. I'm skipping work tomorrow at 230pm to watch the World Cup. England vs. Brazil. How can you miss that?!?!
Gooooo Braaazzziilll!!!! May God Help the Queen!!!
How am i going to make my escape? I have a very quick meeting with a client at around 130pm(of course the office doesnt know its a quick meeting). I've already made reservations at National Sports Grill to watch this event since i'm pretty sure that the place will be packed with soccer fans, like always.
A had to leave for Bacolod as she is working on her thesis about the lives of farmers in sugar plantations there. She will be gone for a couple of months and E gave her a funny gift before she left. Since he used to model for Bench, he gave her a shirt with his big face on it. HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Ever notice how a lot of guys have foot fetishes? Well, if you're one of them, The Foot Project should make you happy. You'll never know who you'll feet...i mean, meet. Hihihihi!!!

I brought my sisters to school this morning and while we were in the car waiting for a stoplight to change to green, my sister, Francine goes..."Achie, i was reading our parish bulletin last Sunday and read something very touching." So i ask her to tell me what it was. She recites:
"The greatest thing a father can ever do for his children is to love their mother."
"That's really nice", i said to her. But it wasn't just nice, it was beautiful and it was true. And i wished Papa was there to hear it.
My dad loves us to bits. He's especially crazy about the young ones and my heart always melts when he calls me "Anak". But sometimes i think, the only reason he and Mama are together is because of us, the kids. And that makes me sad.

More often than not, the person you love will bring out the best...and sadly, also the worst in you. And sometimes, when you are mad at a person you love deeply, we blurt out words...hurtful, cutting, spiteful, cruel and wounding words. We will realize, a couple of seconds after uttering them that we did not mean a single word we said. But the damage has been done and we know that no amount of 'I'm sorry's' will ever expunge the pain.
Last weekend, my boyfriend and i exchanged words we never thought we were capable of telling each other. I won't say what they are but trust me when i say that they hurt a lot. It hurt us both so much that we had actually set our broken hearts on ending the relationship. Needless to say, i spent my weekend in tears. But yesterday, when we were more calm, we were able to work things out and he agreed on giving it another try.
I am now the happiest woman in the world!!! And more than ever, I am thankful to God for answering my prayers.
I love you hunny. It will never happen again. *smooch*
Erap has successfully convinced his bestfriend and popular action star, Fernando Poe, jr. to run for presidency in 2004. Oh puuhhlleaasee, haven't we had ENOUGH of these celebrities-turned-bad-politicians in this country?!?!?!?
The scary thing is, he might actually win. *shivers*
Panday for President? I don't think so!!!

Are you sure its Friday? Gawd..the week sped by. Maybe we should have more holidays on Wednesdays, huh?
I was going through Pinoyexchange and saw this thread entitled, "Cher Calvin, Go home!". Because i never liked her, i decided to read why she should go home.
"We'd love to have the Burnhams here on Points of View, when the hostages are rescued. And they should be rescued because they're Americans! ... and Filipinos!"
So if the hostage was Chinese, its okay to let him die? Okay, sweetie....thanks to your bragging, the whole world knows you're from New York. Sooooo what?!?!? Does that make you any different from us? I hate people like her. They make such big money in our country and they probably can't afford the same kind of lifestyle when they're back "home" and instead of being grateful, they bash, ostracize and say shitty things about us. Tsk tsk tsk. .
Rest in peace, Martin. Gracia, we're all glad you're home. To the guys at the back, i hope you all die tomorrow!
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND, Everyone!!!!

Alcopops are sprouting all over manila like mushrooms. I'm really more of a cocktail and vodka kind of person so I shy away from these alcopops. But at the Space party last Tuesday,I tried a new drink called Jones Soda. What attracted me to it was it was placed in an aquarium full of ice (The party was jam packed with people and the heat was just getting to me). It was sooo good, i had 2 bottles. Mix some gin for a good kick!
The melon flavored one is my favorite. And its only 80 bucks!

I refrain from taking those online quizzes but this one intrigued me. It tells you how old you act.[via Ellen]
25
I act like I'm 25. This test was brought to you by Mel - mostly.... Take it here.
What can i say? I KNEW IT!!!!! (I'm only 23, by the way)
My very good friend Charo celebrated her birthday at Che. It was an intimate gathering. There were around 7 of us and we finished a bottle of our current favorite drink and 2 bottles of red wine. We smoked strawberry, chocolate and vanilla flavored cigars. Che's Salpicao is the best one next to Tequila Joe's Sloppy Cow and the Margarita is the best one I've tried so far.
Yuuuuummmm!!!!
Manila's latest bar is Mustang. If you've seen Coyote Ugly, then you'll know what I'm talking about. Girls in red midrib tank tops, jeans and cowboy hats dancing on the bar. They occasionally ask people from the crowd (mostly men, of course) to come up and groove with them. Yes, they pour water over a chosen guy and lets the guy, in return, pour water over the Mustang girl while she shakes her head in so-called delight.
Girls get in for free (it better be. As if we'd go here to drool over women dancing on top of the bar) but guys pay 200 bucks (you get 2 beers with that). I think the place will click. But the management has to be more creative. Change the jeans to short shorts or micro mini's for a little variety. Something like that.
Mustang is located at the old ABG's in Pasong Tamo, Makati. Its almost right infront of Don Bosco.
My hunny and i celebrated our 1st year anniversary last weekend. We celebrated by sleeping over at The Westin and pigging out on Kare-Kare and Grilled Bangus for lunch then Thai food for dinner. The couple that eats (a lot) together, stays together. Hehehe! I can't believe its been a year. I'm really happy! Love you, Hunny! Mwwaaaaahhh!!!!!

I had a very exhausting night last night. Tashi (my 3-month old Lhasa Apso) had to be rushed to the vet. I was on my way home when my sister called saying that Tashi was trying to poop but nothing would come out and he would cry. My poor baby. So my hunny and i met my sisters at the only vet they found that was still open at 8pm. Thank goodness it was just outside our village. Apparently, my hyper active puppy had licked or eaten something that had some fungus. They had to give him 2 injections which he totally hates. He seemed better this morning and he finally got to take a crap. But we needed to give him some medicines and my sister and i had to struggle with him just to get the contents of the medicine dropper inside his mouth. I swear, having a puppy has given me glimpse of my life as a mother. It's tiring...but very rewarding.
Last night's events has led me to this thought. Should i get Tashi pet insurance? Malayan is now offering Pet Insure. It really seems interesting.
My friend told me that they're finally showing Amelie here in Manila in a couple of weeks! I've been dying to see this french film. Can't wait!

Ever had one of those really interesting dreams worth telling then you completely forget about it when you wake up? Doesn't that just get to you? I remember waking up at 3am last night because of a dream and reminding myself to blog and tell my hunny about it first thing in the morning. When i woke up, i couldn't recall a single damn thing!!! I hate this. It sucks. I hope i dream about it again tonight....
I was on my way to the bank this afternoon to pay for my cellphone bill. As i was looking at my statement, it dawned on me that i would save a lot more if i use prepaid cards. I don't know if the same goes for Smart subscribers but Globe charges me more for calling and sending text messages to other networks. Plus there's the overseas communication tax (whatever that is) for every text message and call you send and make outside of the Philippines. Thank God the company pays for my phone bills. *wheeeww*
I have a confession. I was so bored during lunch and i was looking around the office and voila! Its a VCD of Rico Yan and Claudine Baretto's "Got 2 Believe". So i watched...it wasn't so bad. And you know what, Rico Yan (I didn't know he had his own website till now) is kind of cute, in a boy-next-door kinda way.
I looked up to this girl. Still can't believe she would shoplift.

I want to go to Camiguin or Coron(Palawan) or maybe Guimaras(Iloilo). I was planning on spending halloween in Boracay but maybe I'll try those places i mentioned for a change. And it seems like they're much cheaper.
I think I'll go to Coron by sea this November. I wanna lie down here!!! Wanna tag along?
When i was in college, I promised my mom that once i start working, I would pay for my youngest sister's tuition. I've been keeping that promise for 2 years now. I actually not only pay for the tuition of 1 sister, but 2! But since the latter is now entering college (which i cannot afford), I am stuck with the youngest. I've already bought her new uniforms and a school bag. I still have to buy her notebooks and school supplies. It's costing me a lot. My pockets are not that deep. Plus i have a puppy that i take care of and the cost for vaccinations and dog food are just way up there.
I envy my other friends who only spend for themselves. They can buy all the stuff they want while I'm always tightening my belt, budgeting my money because other people need it. I really don't mind helping out at home, there's a feeling of fulfillment that comes with it but i can't help but say, "What about me?"
What about the things that i want to buy? What about my plans of travelling? What about those Gucci loafers i kept on telling myself i would buy when i enter the workforce? I've been employed for the past 3 years but i still don't have my loafers. I work my ass off and i can't even fully enjoy the fruits of my labor. How about my future? I should be saving up. I wanna get married in a couple of years and i don't want to ask my parents for money to spend on my wedding. But how in the world am i gonna do that if i have financial responsibilities at home.
Almost 2 years ago, I told my mom i would move out of the house and get a place of my own by January 2001. She said it was alright. I was sooo excited. Freedom. Such a beautiful and comforting word. And then suddenly, she makes plans to work in the States and tells me she's leaving in February. My plans of moving out? down the drain. Who's going to look after my sisters? It would be heartless of me to just go and leave, right? Sometimes, i think my mom's too demanding. But she's also sacrificed a lot by leaving her kids and going to the U.S. just so she can make more money.
I am left with no choice but to always look at the brighter side of life and be thankful for my job, my sisters who appreciate the things i do for them, my hunny who helps me out whenever he can, my friends who are true, and my cute puppy who wags his tail and runs to me everytime he sees me.
So there. That's my rant. I don't even know if i made sense. You be the judge.

I don't have a particular story or idea to share today so I'm posting all the random thoughts in my head right now...
I am so addicted to blogging. I usually shy away from the computer on weekends because i spend 5 days infront of it but last weekend, i just wanted to go online and blog and read other people's blog(addict! addict!). This is bad...very, very bad!!!!
Our police sucks big time. That poor 4-year-old boy was stabbed 13 fucking times and these pathetic cops just stood there and watched. I love this country but our cops with buddha-sized bellies just piss me off. Oh and guess what? Turns out, the boy died because of a gunshot wound which means that some idiotic cop accidentally killed the little boy. Hope the 4-year-old goes to heaven and i hope all the bad cops rot in hell!!!!
There's a sudden change in weather. There are occasional rains now. Gone are the humid nights. I now sleep with my comforter and we don't need to turn the AC on anymore. Plus I've started using the water heater again for my baths. Ahhhh..this is so much better.
Went to Groove Nation'sparty at Greenbelt Park last weekend. Fantastic Plastic Machine was spinning. Really good music! It's slow, chill-out music mixed with a bit of bossanova and some mainstream music. Saw a couple of really wasted people. That was fun! Hehe!!!
P.S.
You guys are probably sick of these Google referrals but
i feel that i need to share this:
cameron+diaz+having+armpit- Let me make it easy for you, she has not only one, but 2 of them. Don't you?
