I've been wanting to go visit Cebu for the longest time. The last time I was in Cebu was way back in the 80's. I was only 7 yrs. old and we went there to spend time with my cousins who were migrating to the States. It was also the first time i rode a plane and i remember asking my mom as soon as we landed, "Mama, can i tell my friends that i've been to another country already since i rode a plane?" I thought Cebu was a totally different country. I was still in the Philippines pala. I don't remember much from the trip. All i know is that we went to so many beaches and that i got so sunburned after the trip. And i will never forget Kawasan Falls. The water was soooo cold but it was really beautiful. I wonder if it's still clean. My boyfriend and i have been planning a trip to Cebu for months now because we have free accomodations to Waterfront Hotel and we're dying to use them.

PAL promo slashes local fares by 50%

Philippine Airlines has brought back its popular advance-purchase discount program, slashing fares by more than half on many domestic routes. Dubbed "Hati-Hatian," the promotion offers deep discounts on economy-class tickets purchased at least ten days in advance from August 14 to October 5,2002. It applies to both one-way and round-trip travel between Manila and all domestic sectors served by PAL. Fares for Legazpi, Naga, Tuguegarao, Bacolod, Cebu, Iloilo, Kalibo, Roxas and Tacloban are P1,598 one-way and P2,796 round-trip. Rates for Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cotabato, Davao, Dipolog, General Santos, Zamboanga, Tagbilaran and Puerto Princesa are P2,098 one way and P3,796 round-trip. Round-trip tickets require a minimum stay of three days and maximum stay of 14 days for the discounted rates to apply.

The program offers passengers huge savings. For instance, round-trip travel between Manila and Kalibo costs P6,296 at full economy rate. The advance-purchase fare for the same route is P2,796, a discount of 56%.

All travel under the "Hati-Hatian" promotion must be completed by October 15, 2002.

WE'RE GOING TO CEBU! My hunny and i already planned it over lunch today. We'll leave on a Friday and take the last flight Sunday (or maybe extend till Monday?). We'll take a day tour to Bohol (makakakita na rin ako ng tarsier monkey!) We're planning on leaving end of the month or 1st week of September. I'm so excited!!!

And did i mention that Cebu has the tastiest lechon in the country? Yuumm! I'll eat youuuu...

Loves the beach, wishes she had more time and money to travel, recently got hooked to climbing mountains, reads anything she can get her hands on, frustrated writer, adores her 3-year-old Lhasa Apso, Tashi, constantly needs caffeine, ~~wonders when she'll quit smoking~~, and will most likely die due to liver complications from drinking too much ~~(if the cigarettes doesn't get to her lungs first)~~. Can't live without accessories especially big, dangling earrings, shoe freak (aren't we all?), sucker for discovering hole-in-the-wall restaurants, will ingest anything spicy, enjoys giving and receiving massages, addicted to Friends, Sex and the City and CSI, goes gaga over kids, dreams of being alone with Jim Morrison and smoking a joint with Bob Marley. Would love to party with Gwen Stefani, shop with Patricia Field, write poetry with Maya Angelou and have Sting, Nelson Mandela, Mark Twain and Bono over for dinner.
