Sunday, August 29, 2004 I DON'T USUALLY BLOG ON A SUNDAY...My sister, Aina and I found ourselves watching "Raising Helen" (cute movie, by the way) this morning. When it ended, I suggested that we go for a ala-Sex and the City brunch. It's been awhile since I've been out with the girls without any boyfriends in tow. We went to a Veneto and had spicy baked mussels and baked ziti with chicken. For 100 bucks each, we were stuffed and lunch was very much well worth it. No girls lunch out is complete without dessert so we headed to Jack's Loft (the only place nearby that had decent dessert and an airconditioned smoking area. Ang init eh!) and shared the I Declair. It's a really, really huge eclair filled with custard cream and vanilla ice cream and topped with lotsa lotsa whipped cream. We talked about their relationships and our past relationships. The ones that got away, and the one that we should have gotten away of waaaay before they ended. We also talked about the relationships that turned us into martyrs and made us lose ourselves. And how I'm glad that both of them are in relationships with such better guys. I love how our mistakes, especially our favorite ones, have made us so much smarter. Our dream weddings were also discussed. And of course, I had to expound on the island/beach wedding that I am dying to have. I will not discuss details. Baka maudlot o may mang-agaw. Har har. And they were both excited for me. They can't wait for my next love story. I love the girls. They keep me very hopeful and optimistic. O sha, I have to go. My 17-year-old sister is coming over because she needs to have her hair and make-up fixed for a debut she's attending tonight at The Hyatt. Yeah, our apartment is also a salon on the side. My sister does the hair, Aina and I do the make-up. Enjoy the rest of the weekend! |
