Tuesday, October 08, 2002 Been giving my friend G love advice for a few months now. G is 30 and he's a really wonderful, smart and tummy-aching-funny guy and he's been single for way too long. He's been dating this girl for almost 5 months now. They go out at least once a week for dinner or a movie. You know, normal date stuff. He really really likes this girl but he's not sure if she likes him back.Last Saturday, i was with G and when i asked him for updates about his (hopefully)upcoming lovelife, he tells me.. G: I just got off the phone with her. She's with her friends and they're on their way home na. But i have a feeling she had a date with her tonight. Me: Have you told her your intentions? G: No. Me: Sarap mo batukan. Its been 5 months, G!!! Do you still go out with her? G: Yes. We've actually been seeing each other more often now. Me: So why have you not told her ANYTHING? G: I assume that she knows how i feel about her. I ask her out all the time, i call her up almost every night. Me: Women are not fortune tellers, you know. And trust me, when it comes to men, a lot of women i know, including myself, DO NOT ASSUME. They expect the worse. Because men are so unpredictable. I once dated a guy for a year. We'd go out every week. We'd text each other everyday. He introduced me to his friends and i introduced him to mine. He even wanted to introduce me to his mom. BUT we never held hands, never kissed, never uttered sweet nothings to each other. Hell, we never even talked about "US" (was there even an "US"?). We even went to Boracay together and all my friends told me, "Bunny, this is it!!!". But still. NOTHING. I stopped seeing him after that trip. Now, tell me G, do you want to end up like that? G: Really? No. Ayoko! Me: So start moving! Stop making her guess why you're treating her like this. Baka may makita pa yang iba noh. Ikaw din. Charo, you're laughing na noh? |
