Remember my entry on Edu Manzano's resignation as Weakest Link's host? I was channel surfing last night and guess who's hosting the show now? Will tell you in a bit.

I even remember Charo commenting that Jessica Zafra would probably make a good host because of her I-can-criticize-anything-and-anyone kind of attitude.

Well guys, Allan K is hosting the show now. And after 5 minutes of watching him, i wanted to puke. He just can't be serious and cold to the contestants. I mean, isn't that what the host of this show is supposed to be like? I think it totally ruins the whole image of The Weakest Link.

You are the weakest link *bats eyelashes*, Goodbye! *waves hands ala beauty queen*

I love Philippe Starck. I think he's a genius. Unfortunately, i can't afford most of his stuff or at least his stuff that i like. It's just not practical.

It looks like a tilted cocktail glass but it's a chair! and i want it!

Mr. Starck teams up with Fossil for this one. I've been eyeing this timepiece for months now. It costs around 4,000+ bucks here. I''m really considering buying this. Funky eh?

Being glued to the tube would be more fun with this set. It's a TV! and its water splash proof! Snazzy!

Sorority Boys is the perfect movie to watch on a Monday night after a slaving day at work. It's really a NO-Brainer but its funny anyway. Hehehehe! Seriously, its worth watching if you just need a good laugh. And the men will be glad to know that this movie has a lot of breast exposures.

They're really funny! Or maybe i'm just shallow?

Late again for Friday Five:

1. How long have you had a weblog?
Since...*looks at archives*...January of this year (2002). Its been absolutely fun...and waaaayy too addicting.

2. What was your first post about?
*clicks on Jan 2002 archives* Apparently, my first post was on a monday and i was just rambling on about going to a friend's party that weekend, and how everyone noticed that I gained weight. Bummer!

3. How many changes (name, location, etc.) of your weblog have there been, if more than one?
Never changed the name. It has always been Spunky Daisy. Why Spunky? I've been described to be one a lot of times (did that just make me sound like an airhead?) and Daisy, because its my favorite flower in the whole wide world. And I've got a tattoo to prove it! hehehehe! But this is my 3rd layout, though.

4. What CMS (content management system) do you use?
Blogger. Its probably the only CMS that i can ever work with, considering my vast knowledge on HTML. Bwahahahaa!!!

5. Do you read people who have both a journal and a weblog?Or do you prefer to read people who have all of their writing in one central place?
Id rather have a person's writing all in ONE place.

The other day, Bianca and I were window shopping at the mall while waiting for my sister to arrive. We had just gotten out of a clothing store when Bianca said:

Bianca: Buns, someone inside the store said something about your butt.
(NOTE: I've got a "blessed" behind. My friends tease me and call me J.Lo sometimes. But i like my ass, thank you!)
Me: Really? What did she say?
Bianca: The girl looked at your ass then she told her friend, "look at her butt. It looks fake. I think she padded it with something.". Then the girl saw that i had heard what she said and looked away.
Me: Well, why didn't you tell me when we were inside the store? I could have come up to her and told her, "Were you saying something about my ass? Wanna give it a little squeeze?"

I know some women buy Wonderbras and those fake boobs that feel like jelly to make up for small breasts. But by Gawd! A fake ass? is there even such a thing? I swear, inggit lang siguro sila! Hehehehehe!

Anyway, I'm about to leave the office now. Yahoo!!! Have a great weekend, everyone!!!

The traffic going home last night was terrible!!! My sisters and I left Makati at 6pm and we got home at 8. It took us that long because the good for nothing service road was flooded again and everyone had to take the tollgate. We were lined up at the tollgate for an hour and a half.

Francine (my sister): Achie, why do they call it service road if its out of service?
Me: I don't know either.

Its amazing what photoshop can do. Robyn's right. I'd love to meet the photoshop experts who made this ad for J.Lo's new perfume named, Glow. Just look at how tiny they made her waist look. (click on the picture for a larger view)

I made myself laugh today by watching the SBC Packers flash file. i swear, you guys have to watch this. Lines that made me laugh:

Interviewer: what kind of services does SBC Packers offer the Filipino American Community?
Jojo (the pinoy): We pack everything! We'll even pack it in front of you!

Jojo: (when asked about the history of SBC packers) this is my mother...she's the mother packer...and i'm just a packer.

Jojo: (when asked about things that they pack) we'll pack anything! books, plants, even animals! But the most difficult animal to pack is a hamster!

And now i want the SBC Packers shirt!!!! Someone buy it for me, pleaaasssee! hehehehehe!

I'm sad that the tickets to Rex Navarrete's show at Sanctum are sold out. Ahuhuhuhuhu!!!! If anyone has extra tickets, lemme know ok?

It is time to update my resume. I'm leaving this hellhole as soon as i find a new company that will hire me. Hell, i might even consider working for our competitors and i'm bringing all my clients with me. His company wasn't making money until i came in. I'm defintely not going to leave this firm while he's raking in all the dough.

Again, i'm late for FRIDAY FIVE. But what the hell...right?

1. Where were you born? At the Manila Sanitarium Hospital. Manila, Philippines.

2. If you still live there, where would you rather move to? If you don't live there, do you want to move back? Why or why not? I've lived in my subdivision ever since. This was where i grew up and met friends who are STILL my friends now. I really wouldn't want to move anywhere else. I love my community. Everything and everyone is familiar to me. Its my home.

3. Where in the world do you feel the safest? my room. and my boyfriend's arms (haha! tangina, ang cheesy o!!!)

4. Do you feel you are well-traveled? Nope. Not yet. I'm working on it, though. I've actually started travelling within the Philippines already. I wanna start here. So many beautiful, undiscovered places. But i'm saving up for a trip to Thailand end of this year or early next year. And Charo's coming with me. Tiba Cha? hehehehe!

5. Where is the most interesting place you've been? BORACAY. I just feel so at home in this mesmerizing island. It's really more of a lifestyle, actually. I love that its blissful during the day but its a great party at night. The beach is gorgeous, people are friendly, food is good and cheap and there's something for everyone. There's variety. And i love getting a tan (even if I'm really morena already)! In fact, i dont understand why some Filipinas spend so much on whitening soaps/creams, etc.

It's a monday....and i'm in the mood to whine!

RANT # 1
Is it just me or do you guys also hate the fact that for the past 2 weeks, it ONLY rains hard on weekends?!?!?! I was planning on walking my dog but it rained so freaking hard, i couldn't even walk outside myself!

RANT # 2
I swear, our government sucks! Just early this year, they raised the toll fee in the South Luzon tollway. This month, it has increased again. 2 years ago, the toll fee going to my village was only 1 peso. After a year, it became P10.50. Early this year, it became P15.00. Today, after 6 months, it is now (drumroll please), P20 bucks! Is that even reasonable? Is it even justifiable?

Last week, they came out with an ad in the paper that says, "If you don't want to pay the toll fee, take the service road". HA! Is the service road even passable? During the rainy season, the fucking service road is so flooded, its impossible for vehicles to pass through it. Which means, that you're forced to take the South Super Highway (which is also slightly flooded) and pay the exorbitant toll fee. And you can throw in the fact that the road has so many potholes! And the service road isn't even open 24 hours! Its a one-way road in the morning! Grrrr!!! How can they justify the increase? Dollar rates? The money they spent for building the skyway? What a load of bull crap! Corrupt...that's everything our government is.

Anyways, hope everyone had a nice weekend. Mine was actually pretty good.

Jade Slack, a 10-year-old girl is suspected to have died due to a drug overdose. Ecstasy overdose. She is Britain's (and probably the world's too) youngest ecstasy victim. How sad.

"Jade Slack is thought to have swallowed up to five tablets of the dance drug which she found in a house she visited with a 10-year-old schoolfriend on Monday."

I just got off the phone with my boyfriend awhile ago and i laughed so hard as he told me what happened when he interviewed a graduate of La Salle (no offense to the people from this school) this morning who was interested in the position as Account Executive. I wanna share it with you, guys. (Hunny, if you're reading this, i hope you dont mind.)

My boyfriend: We're also looking for a guest officer in the resort (my boyfriend is in the tourism industry). It seems to me like you are more fit for that position. We will give you a call when our resident manager is in Manila so she can schedule an interview with you.
Girl from La Salle: I don't have a boyfriend.
My boyfriend: Well, i didn't ask you if you had one.
Girl from La Salle: Just in case you wanted to know...
My boyfriend: Thats really unnecessary information. Thank you for your time.

What the fuck was up with that girl?!?!? Somehow, i now understand why my boyfriend only hires people from U.P.(also his Alma Mater)

I really don't mind lending other people my CDs as long as they return it . I'm sure the same goes for everyone.

Remember when i used to share an office with Mr. Annoying? Around 3 months ago, he borrowed my The Best of Bob Marley and the Wailers CD which is my absolute favorite! So i lent it to him thinking that since we share an office, he would have the decency to return it to me.

A week before we moved out of that building, i was itching to get my CD back but he wasn't showing up for work so i went to his office desk and saw my CD! The case was already broken!!! I opened it and my CD wasn't there! Wadafaaakkk?!?! I got so pissed!

Mr. Annoying's company ended up moving in the same building as mine but they're on the next floor. I went there earlier to borrow something and lo and behold!!! Its my CD! (at least he changed the case) So i told his officemate to tell him that i got my CD back.

I've been listening to Bob Marley the whole afternoon. His music is timeless. He relaxes me.

I've been waiting in vain for you, Bob. So glad you're back

Some of these kids have school buses that can go through floods while more than half of Manila's workforce commute to and from work. Paano naman kami, tiba? And then, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo announces "no work for government workers". Again, paano naman kami sa private sector? Tsk tsk tsk! So unfair. Hmppphhh!!!!

And just when you thought Gloria's wrath was almost over, there's another typhoon called "Hambalos" coming in the country in the next 24 hours. Brace yourselves.

Last weekend, at a friend's birthday party, my friends and i started talking about how our future children will be like when they reach their teens. I mean, just look at teenagers now. Girls as young as 12 are learning to drink coffee, pluck their eyebrows and wear tons of makeup. Plus their outfits seem like there's a scarcity for cloth in the whole world (thanks to MTV). Gone are the days where kids looked forward to afternoon visits in the park, biking with friends, building treehouses (my friends and i had one when we were kids!), etc. Those have all been replaced by network games, playstations, the internet, or what have you.
And then there are drugs which are so rampant and so easy to get hold of nowadays.

I won't be a hypocrite by saying that I've never tried drugs. I have and i still smoke some sometimes. But let's put it this way, I have never and will never try anything synthetic or anything that doesn't grow from the ground.

Ecstasy. E. Superman. XTC. These are only a few names for it. I have a lot of friends who pop/party (part-e) or whatever they call it. One friend told me that the 1st time she ever tried E was the happiest day of her life. Ain't that shallow? And this friend of mine actually recommended that i pop too. Can't say that i didn't consider it at that time but after finding out that it would cost me 1200 bucks/pop, i thought...
Jeez! I'll have to pay THAT much to give myself a euphoric high and to heighten/enhance my senses for a few hours?!?!? Wadafak?!?!?! I'd rather get good food or go shopping!
And then another friend wanted to give it to me for free but i have to follow it up by inhaling some foot spray (i think they call it warry or wally. i really forgot). Tangina. I ain't sniffing no foot spray. That's fucking crazy. And pathetic. Most of them claim they enjoy the music more when they're high on E. To hell with them, i don't need to spend on exorbitant drugs to enjoy good music.

Did you guys see that episode on Oprah where they featured a 24-year-old Ecstasy user? Well, they gave her a brain scan and this is what they found:

Normal, Healthy Brain

Ecstasy user's brain. Check out the holes. Cheese, anyone?

Saw the World Cup championship at Oakwood last night. What FUN!!! So many people in Brazil Jerseys. I think i almost lost my voice from screaming! Everytime Ronaldo scored a goal, everyone would stand up, raise their hands, scream, sing "Ole, ole, ole ole!!!" and heck, even dance!!! Great party! I gotta hand it to Germany though, they played hard.

I can't believe Germany's press is blaming Kahn for their defeat. He's sooo damn good! He played sooo well (especially during the first half). I was even beginning to think Kahn wasn't human. And you can throw in the fact that he looks like Sabretooth from X-men. Could he be a mutant? Hehe!

By the way, guess this world cup prediction was right after all...

The German press should cut you some slack. Yeah, go have a beer. You deserve it anyway.

Can't live without accessories especially big, dangling earrings, shoe freak (aren't we all?), sucker for discovering hole-in-the-wall restaurants, will ingest anything spicy, enjoys giving and receiving massages, addicted to Friends, Sex and the City and CSI, goes gaga over kids, dreams of being alone with Jim Morrison and smoking a joint with Bob Marley. Would love to party with Gwen Stefani, shop with Patricia Field, write poetry with Maya Angelou and have Sting, Nelson Mandela, Mark Twain and Bono over for dinner.
