Tuesday, February 05, 2002Met Bianca and Aldo for dinner in Greenbelt last night. We were really planning on having dinner at Hap Chan, this small, inexpensive and good chinese resto but since we were already at the mall and we didnt want to let good parking space go to waste (Its so hard to look for a good parking slot in this city!) we decided to have dinner at National Sports Grill. I used to hang out there everyday after work then i just got sick of the place. But since i was so hungry i could eat anything, we decided to just stuff ourselves there.
We had coffee at Tubbies after. Another small, inexpensive cafe. Hey, brewed coffee goes for 19 bucks a cup...how can you go wrong? We read magazines, played games on our palm and beamed each other silly programs. Then, it was time to go home.
Aldo and I were in the car on the way home and its amazing how much we tell each other when its just the 2 of us talking. Its just different when the other guys are around. No one talks about anything serious or touchy. But when its just Aldo and me, everything just pours out.
Like we talked about how he really wants to live here, how sucky life is for him in the States but he doesn't really have a choice coz he has to finish school and earn some money to pay the bills. He also talked about finding love this year. He says he's been single for way too long (4 years?!) and he misses having someone. He was dating some girls in the States but it always turned out be a one night wonder. I also reminded him of this particular one night stand he had with their 30-year old neighbor. He was so drunk, he didnt finish what he was doing...get it? HAHAHAHA!
And i ranted on how disappointed I am that Papa's not really doing much about our family's situation right now and I'm always stuck in the middle coz he and Marby (my sister) aren't talking. I also talked about my Mom and what a strong woman she is. Imagine leaving her family just so that she can make a living in the States. She's practically the reason why there's food in our table every night and why we still have lights in the house. I also told him about Leeds and how happy I am with him and how i truly believe that he is the one.
Aldo and I ended the night smoking a cigarette infront of his house and listening to the Bob Marley CD he gave me.
Loves the beach, wishes she had more time and money to travel, recently got hooked to climbing mountains, reads anything she can get her hands on, frustrated writer, adores her 3-year-old Lhasa Apso, Tashi, constantly needs caffeine,
