Thursday, February 07, 2002I dont want to be away from home....
Aldo went to my office yesterday afternoon and he waited for me till i got off work. We headed to Flute for some coffee. As usual, we talked and talked and talked. I asked him, "Give me 5 things you love about Boston." This is what he said.
1.Security- He says its really nice to walk around Boston during the night especially when its snowing. And its really safe. Unlike in most places here in Manila, you try walking at night and there's probably going to be a bastard around the corner who's going to verbally harass you OR it could be worse....
2. The Food- Its not a wonder he gained weight. He already told me about this quaint italian restaurant in one of his emails before but he just had to bring it up again last night. He says the restaurant is like a house, really small and cozy and the food is something else. There is no way I can describe or even paint (HA! I cant paint for shit!) Aldo's face while he was trying to tell me how good the pasta, the pizza and everything else is. I'm not much of an Italian lover, but hey, if he says its as good as he says it is, i'll definitely visit the place when i go there (dunno when!).
AFTER NO.2, HE PAUSED FOR A REALLY LONG WHILE TO THINK OF NO.3
3. Shopping If i remember correctly, he talked about Harvard Square, this place lined up with stores selling everything under the sun. They also have really cool 2nd hand vintage clothing and he says its not that expensive. He also mentioned that he has yet to finish looking at all the stores.
4. Music- The bars that he frequents have live bands during the night. And he says its amazing how these bands start playing in small bars and before you know it, you'll be hearing about them in the papers or watching them in MTV.
5 Oh dear! I FORGOT!!! . I'll ask him when i see him. hehehehe! sorry about that!
I asked him how his Sister's wedding turned out. It was nice but the newly weds got drunk! hahahaha! When the older people started to leave, everyone gathered in one big table and waited till the waiters brought out 1 case of tequila! ohhh la laaa!!! The newly weds were so drunk, their respective mothers had to bring them up to the hotel room, took their shoes and i dont know what else off so they could go to bed. What a honeymoon! Funny huh?
